The Jewish Federations of North America's National Young Leadership is a local, national and international network of socially conscious Jews in their 20s, 30s and early 40s.

Your local federation's young leadership division offers abundant opportunities to get involved, whether your interests lead you to spend time visiting seniors, collect medicine or other vital supplies for Jews overseas, or meet with political leaders as an advocate for social services. Federation also offers leadership development programs to prepare you to play a key role in the Jewish community.

The Jewish Federations of North America is a network for doing good, through meaningful philanthropy and hands-on volunteerism. We represent and serve 157 Jewish federations and more than 400 independent Jewish communities across North America -- one of the largest, most effective networks of social service providers and programs in the world, translating Jewish values into social action on behalf of millions of people in more than 60 countries.

Your Local Federation is where it all starts. In every city with a Jewish community, large or small, federation is the core of a social service network that responds to urgent needs and connects the local Jewish institutions -- social service agencies, schools, synagogues, JCCs and more -- that are the fabric of our communities.

Your local federation is a team of people who care enough to want to improve an imperfect world. It’s the place to get involved if you want to be one of those people. Click here to find the federation in your home community.

Federation’s resources, combined with the experience and reach of The Jewish Federations of North America, national agencies, and our primary overseas partners, the Jewish Agency for Israel and American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, enable us to save and improve lives. Innovative federation programs build direct, meaningful connections between North American Jews and their counterparts in Israel and throughout the world.  Together, we can reach every Jew in need. Here’s how we make it happen.

The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) connects the entire Jewish world in a global partnership devoted to ensuring the future of the Jewish people with a strong Israel at its heart. The Jewish Agency’s worldwide work has a dual purpose: To keep the promise to every Jew who for any reason, at any time, wants to come home to Israel; and to put Israel into the lives of the Jewish world's next generation. Through dynamic partnership platforms with the people of Israel, such as Partnership 2000 and Youth Futures, the Jewish Agency also creates equal opportunity for at-risk immigrants and young people,
strengthening vulnerable communities, and shaping the future character of
Israeli society. And in times of crisis, the Jewish Agency mobilizes to immediately address the urgent and ongoing needs of populations in distress.

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC)
gives global expression to the principle that all Jews are responsible for one another. Working on behalf of North America’s Jewish Federations, JDC is dedicated to rescuing those in danger, providing relief to Jews in distress, and revitalizing Jewish communities. JDC is committed to helping Israel’s most vulnerable citizens overcome the social challenges they still face through special partnerships and innovation. In the spirit of “healing the world,” JDC also offers non-sectarian disaster relief and longer-term development assistance worldwide.

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) as the community relations arm of the organized Jewish community, represents 14 national agencies and 125 local communities who together shape consensus and inspire grassroots action around the globe on the most essential issues of interest to the Jewish community. JCPA is committed to safeguarding the rights of Jews worldwide and promoting a just, democratic and pluralistic American society. JCPA provides consultation and guidance to communities engaged in the most important issues of the day, including Israel advocacy, Iran, Darfur, energy and the environment, and poverty.

The Jewish Federation of North America Washington represents the Jewish federation movement in Washington, DC, promoting our interests and concerns to members of Congress and the Administration. What matters to you? Sustaining community services to alleviate poverty, coordinating rapid and effective disaster relief, advocating on behalf of people with disabilities, speaking out for children, promoting genetic testing, assisting immigrants and refugees? The Jewish Federations of North America Washington is there, working to ensure that the voice of the Jewish federations is a prominent force in health and human service policy decisions.
